Was labor and birth easy? Every labor and birth is different. Every baby, every child is different. They are beautiful. They are ready and willing to learn about the vast new world around them. Step by step they absorb all they can to find their way in this new world.

Then there are challenges – the diagnoses. And there are treatments for diagnoses. Do not be intimidated by any diagnosis. Diagnoses are medical labels that are generally recognised by physicians and therapists. These terms comprise a common language to describe common clusters of symptoms. Diagnoses may contain the words disorder or delay. These words do not mean that something is wrong. Rather these words represent starting points – starting points for treatment and progress. Sometimes progress is fast. Sometimes, very slow. Every child is different.

Now physical therapists that work with adults dedicate their practices to rehabilitating adults after injury or surgery. Rehabilitating. In contrast, pediatric therapists dedicate themselves to habilitating infants. Children are born without fault or flaw. Yet all were born with unique challenges.

At On Par, we work from your child's diagnosis through a regimen of treatments. Our goal is for your child to gain function for daily life. We dedicate ourselves to helping your child achieve an on par or better score.

Diagnoses

We are happy to accept referrals for developmental diagnoses. These include though are not limited to the following:

• ASD - autism spectral disorder
• cerebral palsy
• developmental delay
• Downs syndrome
• plagiocephaly
• primitive reflex delay

• torticollis

Treatments

The treatments we offer include but are not limited to:

• adaptive equipment evaluation & training
  wheelchair, bath chair, lift, ramp, adaptive car, adaptive bicycle
• Dynamic Movement Intervention
  Caitlin Beam is an introductory Level A DMI practitioner.
• neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT)
• sensory integration
• serial casting
  Serial casting has an inventory burden that is outside the scope of the On Par practice. On Par offers referrals to a serial casting clinic.
• Total Motion Release
  Caitlin Beam has completed Level 1, 2 and 3.
